I love Malaysia =D ..!!

Despite having hot weather throughout the year, slightly above average internet connection speed and whatnot, one of the thing that I love about my beloved home country is that everyone here loves football (or called ‘soccer’ by the people who call themselves American), and to be specific, almost all Malaysians are crazy about the English Premier League (EPL) football.

The pic above was taken yesterday during a football match between Manchester United and Chelsea which was broadcasted live in a Mc D restaurant. People came to watch the game besides having dinner at Mc D. Some of them wore their favourite club’s jersey. The atmosphere was phenomenal.

iPhone voicemail unavailable?

When I was in Germany, I used my iPhone with o2. Actually iPhone was intended to be used with T-Mobile in Germany. But my iPhone, which was bought by a friend of mine in the US has been unlocked and jailbroken, thus can be used with any telco.

In my home country Malaysia, I’m currently using my iPhone with Celcom postpaid. However, at first, the voicemail button was not working. Whenever I select voicemail, a screen appeared saying that the voicemail service is unavailable.

After some googling, I found a solution to the problem, which turned out to be quite simple. This is how to fix this problem and makes the voicemail button working again.

First, open Phone app and key in following numbers :

*5005*86*<Your telco voicemail number>#

For example, voicemail number for Celcom is 1313. So what I did was typing :

*5005*86*1313#

Finally just press call, and you are good to go. Simple isn’t it?

Back in Malaysia

I’ve been back in Malaysia since last Thursday, 25th March 2010 after 5 unforgettable years in Bingen, Germany. Since the area where I live uses wireless home phone, I’m not able to get broadband through fixed line a.k.a DSL (correct me if I’m wrong). Hence the alternative is to opt for broadband through cellular network, which is actually kind of sucks, but for now, I’m good with this one.

Oh anyway I’m using Maxis Broadband right now. I saw an advertisement about obtaining free modem when registering a new Maxis Broadband account, so I grab the chance without waiting any longer, coz I guess I could ‘die’ without internet.

It felt really great being home, even though the weather is really hot. I guess almost 35 °C. And of course I got a lot of things to do for my wedding in May. I guess I got nothing more to write, and I’m not gonna be posting frequently for this moment. So ciao for now.

p/s : Missing Germany =(…especially the high speed internet, the cold weather, and the way people behave on the road….

Base System Device Driver

Now this is one of the reason I hate Windows. You have to install the freaking drivers after reformatting your PC. They, I mean Micro$oft, did bring automatic search and install required drivers when they first introduce Vista to the market. But this doesn’t work for all PCs. Well, that’s why Mac rules. =P.
